About the Designer
MidnightHookStudio is run by El Mahdi Merzag, an independent creator based in Écully, near Lyon, France. The studio publishes crochet patterns for makers who like their craft a little darker: life-size Halloween monsters, a gothic wardrobe, lace lingerie, party wear for the holidays and spooky-cute ornaments.
Who is behind the patterns
El Mahdi writes and publishes every MidnightHookStudio pattern, runs the shop and answers customer messages himself. He is also a software developer and built this website on his own platform, WhatssAI — so when you write to the studio, you reach the person who made the pattern, not a support desk.
How the patterns are made
- Written in English with US crochet terms, every round and row spelled out with stitch counts
- A materials list, hook size, yarn weight and an estimate of how much yarn each colour needs
- Size charts and schematics for every wearable (XS to 4XL depending on the design)
- A hidden wire / PVC frame guide for every life-size piece, so it stands, sits and poses
- Listing photos are previews of each design — your finished piece will look like yours, in your yarn and colours

MidnightHookStudio is operated by DIGICENTERPRO, a business registered in France (SIRET 101 248 623 00015), 26 Avenue des Sources, 69130 Écully. Payments are processed securely by Stripe and PDFs are delivered by e-mail right after payment. The same designs are sold in our Etsy shop, MidnightHookStudio.
